Sakina
A calm companion from the Quran and Sunnah.
Sources & Trust
Where every word comes from
Sakina carries Quran verses, hadiths, and supplications into the moments you need them. For something this sacred, you deserve to know exactly where each word comes from — and how it was checked.
Three sources, nothing else
Every entry in Sakina is drawn from one of three sources only:
- The Holy Quran
- Sahih al-Bukhari
- Sahih Muslim
No weak (da'if) or fabricated (mawdu') reports, and no other collection. The app's validator rejects anything outside these three.
How it was verified
- Quran: every verse matched to the mushaf (Hafs narration), with surah and verse numbers confirmed.
- Hadith: every text matched to its exact place on sunnah.com — authentic (sahih) by the agreement of the two Sahihs.
- Consistency: an automated check ensures each entry's source name, reference number, and link all agree.
- References that did not match were corrected; a hadith found to be outside Bukhari/Muslim was replaced with an authentic one.
Eight feelings
The same vetted pool is gently re-ordered for eight states of the heart:
- Distress & Fatigue
- Fear & Loss
- Guilt & Repentance
- Anger & Forgiveness
- Hope & Optimism
- Joy & Gratitude
- Guidance & Steadfastness
- Motivation & Momentum
An amanah, not just an app
Attributing words to Allah and His Messenger ﷺ is a trust. Sakina treats it that way — corrections are ongoing, and feedback is always welcome.
